B. Text of Launch Announcements.
1992-062A COSMOS 2210, a C.I.S. spacecraft, was launched from Plesetsk
cosmodrome by a Soyuz rocket. Initial orbital parameters are: period
89.7 min, apogee 380 km, perigee 173 km, and inclination 67.2 deg.
1992-061A STS 47, a U.S.A. space shuttle, was launched from Cape Canaveral. It
carried material for microgravity/biology experiments. Initial
orbital parameters are: period 90.5 min, apogee 301 km, perigee 297
km, and inclination 56.9 deg.
1992-060B SATCOM C3, a U.S.A. communications satellite, was launched by an
Ariane-4 rocket from Kourou in French Guiana. Initial transfer orbit
parameters are: period 627 min, apogee 35,705 km, perigee 197 km, and
inclination 6.9 deg.
1992-060A HISPASAT 1A, a Spanish communications satellite, was launched by an
Ariane-4 rocket from Kourou in French Guiana. Initial transfer orbit
parameters are: period 627 min, apogee 35,346 km, perigee 205 km, and
inclination 1.9 deg.
1992-059A COSMOS 2209, a C.I.S. research spacecraft, was launched by a Proton
rocket from Baykonur cosmodrome into a near-geostationary orbit.
Initial orbital parameters are: period 1,439 min, apogee 35,901,
perigee 35,770, and inclination 1.3 deg.
1992-058A USA 84, a U.S.A. GPS spacecraft, was launched. Initial orbital
parameters are: period 356 min, apogee 20,335, perigee 187, and
inclination 34.7 deg.
1992-057A SATCOM C4, a U.S.A. communications spacecraft, was launched. Initial
orbital parameters are: period 662 min, apogee 35,799 km, perigee
1,764 km, and inclination 20.5 deg.
1992-056D PION 2 and PION 1, passive atmospheric research spacecraft, were
-056C ejected from RESURS F-16 after its launch on August 19, 1992. Their
initial orbital parameters of are: period 89 min, apogee 247 km,
perigee 225 km, and inclination 82.5 deg.
